Embodying Joy and Justice - FREE somatic tools & community resources

Hello Courageous ones,

My monthly newsletters have slipped to less than quarterly lately. Part of this is because I’ve been finding it hard to write authentically about somatics without naming the greater context of our shared human condition. The personal is always political. We cannot heal in a vacuum—our embodied experience is inseparable from the fabric of reality, and our nervous systems are not individual, but interdependent.

Healing our bodies and pursuing justice both call for restoring dignity and belonging in the body. Right now, we are witnessing ceaseless bombing and starvation in Gaza, and closer to home we see certain lives treated as less valuable—through restrictions on reproductive health, attacks on trans rights, and the backlash against “immigrants”. Somatic therapy offers grounding, co-regulation, and the ability to stay present with difficult experiences. It helps us witness harm without shutting down, grieve without being consumed, and act without reproducing cycles of violence.

Most importantly, somatics makes space for embodied joy that is not mediated by capitalism . The more fully we allow ourselves to inhabit our soma, the more capacity we have for embodied solidarity—where liberation is not only imagined, but experienced in our bodies.

I wanted to share with you as many tools for cultivating both inner connections and outer community to support you during this time.
