This workshop offers a supportive and nurturing space for self-exploration. How do we find support within our being? By connecting to breath, our movement, and the earth’s body, we can learn self-regulation skills through eco-somatic exploration. Utilizing dance/movement therapy and mindfulness practices, we will foster connection with body, mind, and the natural world surrounding us.
Participants will:
Be introduced to Dance/Movement Therapy (DMT), a form of somatic psychotherapy, and its role in fostering the mind-body connection.
Experience eco somatic practice to enhance awareness of the interconnections between oneself and the natural world.
Explore mindfulness beyond sitting meditation by actively engaging the sensory system and DMT to promote self-regulation.
Discover the power of imagery and symbolic play as tools for accessing connection within oneself and with nature.
