In this workshop participants will :
Shift mental narratives (our stories) through dance/movement explorations to support grounded connection and acceptance of the present moment
Understanding and normalize unique stress responses
Experience intuitive movement to support well-being
Exploring movement/dance practices to increase emotional fluency and feeling held within the body as well as within a community container
Description:
Our bodies hold so much wisdom and can tell us a lot about emotional state. At this time, many of us may be experiencing that physical isolation and distancing not only from others, but from our own physical experience. We may be experiencing feelings of numbness, disconnect, unmotivation followed by periods of hyperarousal, vigilance and anxiety. Sometimes when words are not enough, we can find reconnection in movement explorations to help us connect us to feelings of safety, belonging and help facilitate emotional fluency.
